Marine team participates in Mid Bay "Meet & Greet"

KENT ISLAND, MD, Sunday, May 4, 2025, On Sunday, May 4, 2025, Marine Emergency Team 26 participated in a Mid-Bay Meet & Greet. The idea of the event is to provide a chance for other departments that have fire/rescue boats to converse and learn about new tactics and equipment. We were able to share ideas amongst the different teams and learn about new ideas that will be incorporated into the design of our new boat.

This months meet and greet was hosted by the Grasonville Vol Fire Department and was located at the DNR Matepeake Facility and included:

- Fire Boat 2 (Grasonville VFD)

- Fire Boat 70 (Tilghman Island Volunteer Fire Company)

- Fire Boat 20 (Oxford Fire Co.)

- Fire Boat 1 (North Beach VFD)

- Fire Boat 19 (Anne Arundel County Fire Department)

- Fire Boat 36 (Annapolis Fire Department)

- Marine Unit 268 (North Point - Edgemere VFD)

- Personnel and Boats from the Maryland Department of Natural Resources - Natural Resources Police
